FROM THE MOKENA MESSENGER
Nearly 100 residents show up for meeting, want answers on crime
Crime was on many residents’ minds Jan. 27, as nearly 100 people packed into the Mokena Village Board meeting to vocalize their concerns.
Several residents spoke during the public comment period after a two-month span that has seen several incidents of vehicular burglaries, thefts and other crimes.
Mokena Mayor Frank Fleischer said that the Village Board and police department are working “tirelessly” to address the incidents.
